The South Central Railway (SCR) has released an official notification for the Act Apprentice Recruitment 2025-26 under the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules, 1962. Through this recruitment drive, a total of 2801 Act Apprentice vacancies will be filled across various railway divisions, workshops, and units under the South Central Railway zone.

Candidates who have successfully completed 10th class (Matriculation/SSC) with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and hold an ITI certificate in the relevant trade from a recognized institute are eligible to apply for this apprenticeship opportunity. The recruitment provides hands-on technical training in multiple trades such as Fitter, Electrician, Welder, Diesel Mechanic, Carpenter, AC Mechanic, COPA, Electronic Mechanic, Machinist and more.

The online application process began on 12 March 2026 at 5:00 PM and will remain open until 11 April 2026 at 11:59 PM. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their application through the official portal of the Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) under South Central Railway.

Selected candidates will undergo apprenticeship training in various divisions such as Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur, Nanded and Tirupati along with railway workshops like Lallaguda and Rayanapadu. These units belong to departments including Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Personnel, and Signal & Telecommunication.

The selection process for this recruitment is purely merit-based. The merit list will be prepared based on the average marks obtained in 10th class and ITI.
