Goodbye Kansas is looking for a visionary Realtime FX Artist to push the boundaries of cinematic storytelling. If you’re a master of Niagara and Houdini who thrives at the intersection of technical optimization and breathtaking visuals, we want to hear from you.
The Mission
- Create: Craft high-fidelity, in-engine effects with a primary focus on Unreal Engine (Niagara).
- Support: Enhance in-engine lighting and VFX pipelines within our proprietary tech.
- Optimize: Balance performance and visual fidelity to ensure seamless, high-end sequences.
- Collaborate: Work alongside our Realtime Supervisor and cross-departmental teams to solve complex creative hurdles.
Your Toolkit
- The Essentials: Proven professional experience in Realtime VFX for games or cinematics.
- The Engine: Mastery of Unreal Engine (Niagara, materials, shaders, and lighting).
- The Science: Proficiency in Houdini and experience with Chaos (destruction and rigid body sims).
- The Communication: Fluent English and a collaborative mindset for embedded team environments.
Bonus Points
- Experience with in-engine physics (Cloth/Groom).
- Technical depth in Python, Blueprints, or HLSL/C++.
- Familiarity with version control (Perforce/Git).
